Word Count Plus Tidbit

She placed the berries into her mouth, slowly chewing on them as she continued to survey her world. She stopped her gaze upon an old tree, more trunk then it was leaves. She knew that inside it was hollow; it had been her home when she was a child. She had lived there with her parents and 2 brothers. She began to reminisce.
The doorway to her home had been located about halfway up, so as to not invite animals into it. It had just looked like an old owl hole to a human, if any had ever passed through the woods. Even they were gone now.
